To help answer common questions that we receive for our Grand Canyon Tours, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions. We hope these questions will provide you with answers.Do I need to reserve my tour in advance?
Yes, tours often sell out quickly. To increase the chances of getting the day you prefer, we suggest booking well in advance.What are the pickup points?
Across Arizona Tours depart from most hotels and resorts in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area. This includes many hotels in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa. While we will make every effort to accommodate you, special pickup is not guaranteed. If we cannot accommodate your pickup point, you will be directed to meet at a location as close to you as possible.What type of vehicle is used?
We use newer model deluxe, stretch vans. We take no more than 10 passengers on any van. Each van has comfortable seating, heat and air conditioning, tinted windows, and a speaker system so you can clearly hear your guide.What is included in the price?
The price includes your transportation, guide services, admissions to the attractions listed, and unlimited complimentary bottled water on the van. We make lunch and dinner stops at places where you can purchase your meals.What is the price for children?
Children ages 3 through 9 are half of the adult price. We do not take children under 3 years of age on this tour, except if it’s a private tour for your group only. Arizona law requires all children ages 3-6 to be properly secured in a federally approved car seat or booster seat. You will need to bring this seat with you on tour.
What is the cancellation policy?
There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for our tours. If you cannot join the tour, you would need to let us know before 6:30 am on the day before the tour in order to receive a full refund or in order to not be charged for the tour. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour departure will be charged full rate.
What are the guides like?
Each of our guides has been hand picked, trained, and certified by us. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and enthusiastic.Are guide gratuities included?
No, gratuities for your tour guide are not included in the price of the tour. Tipping is greatly appreciated.Do we stop for meals?
We stop for lunch and dinner. The cost for these meals is not included in the price. Please be sure to bring along extra cash, credit cards, or travelers cheques for your meals.What type of food is served at the lunch and dinner stops?
There is a wide variety of choices on the menu, including meals for diabetics and vegetarians.Are there restrooms in the vehicles?
No. However, our tours are routed so we can make numerous restroom stops throughout the day.Are cameras or video cameras allowed on the tour?
Absolutely. There will be many opportunities for taking pictures of the breathtaking landscape.Where do you drop me off after the tour?
After the tour, you will be dropped off where you departed from.How should I dress?
Casual attire is best. In the summer months, shorts or slacks, sandals or closed shoes (no flip flops), and a light sweater are fine. In the fall, winter, and spring months, you’ll want slacks, closed shoes, and a warmer jacket.How much walking is there on this tour?
At some of the viewpoints, you will need to walk a short distance. There is no difficult walking, nor any hiking.What are the temperatures like on this tour?
The Grand Canyon is elevated, approximately 7,500 feet. Temperatures are generally in the 80s in the summer, in the 60s to 70s in spring and fall, and in the 40s to 50s in the winter.Can I book a private tour?
Yes, we are happy to arrange for a private group tour with a customizable itinerary.Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible and what about animals?
Unfortunately, our vehicles were not designed to accommodate wheelchairs. No animals are allowed in the vans.Do you sell gift certificates?

Pricing does not include lunch and dinner. A gratuity for your guide will be graciously accepted. We will stop for both meals at places where you can purchase your food. Admissions to this tour's attractions are included in the price. Unfortunately, we are unable to take children under 3 years of age.
